About New Upcoming R&B Singer Kofi Black…
There’s
a storm brewing in Staten Island, New York. Kofi Black — R & B,
Pop, Reggae, Hip hop, and Soul tossed into a blender and turned on
high. With music in his blood, Kofi Black mixes his west african
roots, with his S.I. swagger. On July 22, 1983 a successful
businessman, musician from Ghana, West Africa and a God fearing woman
from Brooklyn brought a legend into the world. Kofi Black the
multi-talented singer, song writer, rapper, producer cranks out the
“break ya neck” cause you’re boppin your head so hard music. He sings
seductive notes that make you say “How did he do that?”. The type of
music that makes you use the left side of your brain. Kofi combines
fun, efficiency, charm, passion and excitement to an audience. Some
would argue he is a perfectionist, but for Kofi the renaissance man,
there is no other modus operandi for his craft. He lives by the intro
to his album “All I do is win”.
In
2003, Kofi went to Ghana, West Africa to perform for independence day in
front of thousands. In 2005 he sang at the BET awards a tribute to
Mariah Carey. That same year he sang the national anthem at Yankee
Stadium. December of 2008 Kofi traveled to South Korea to sing in front
10’s of thousands of people. Vocally trained by one of the prolific
vocal coaches of this time Craig Derry who’s trained everyone from Mary
J. Blige, Christina Aguilerra, Alicia Keys, John Legend to Pretty

recieves standing ovations at his shows when he sings his original hits

Armed with a microphone and a star stuttered band. Dynamic duo brothers
Jamal and Larry Peoples on keys and drums, Anthony on bass and the
world famous Faton Macula on guitar who’s played for everyone from Mark
Anthony to Fantasia.
In
October 2009, Kofi released a highly anticipated R&B mixture titled
“Friday Night”. This mixture has the streets buzzing’ big time about
the talented singer. He’s also writing and producing for up and coming
artists and major artists as well. Kofi wrote
and co produced Keith Robinson from the movie “Dream Girls” first
single “Gurl”. Kofi will also be going on an overseas tour at the end
of 2009. Come 2010, his first soon to be classic album will be
released. Super producer Boola who’s done everything from Jay Z to
Ne-yo will be on the upcoming album. As of right now you can catch him
doing shows and singing at open mic sessions throughout New York City.
