Mindless Behavior’s “#1 Girl” Hits Billboard’s Top 10 In Its 1st Week

Debut Album #1 Girl From Mindless Behavior, New Teen Phenomenon, Hits The Billboard Top 10 In Its First Week

Mindless Behavior Selected for VEVO’s Emerging Artist Program, LIFT

SANTA MONICA, Calif., Sept. 28, 2011
/PRNewswire/ — The fan frenzy for Mindless Behavior that has shut down
streets and called out the fire marshals because of huge crowds has
catapulted #1 Girl (Streamline/Conjunction/Interscope Records), into the #7 spot on the Billboard Top 200 album chart in its first week.

Hundreds
of record stores sold out of product within the first 24 hours on the
shelves.  Along with the album edition with a cover featuring the entire
group, four limited edition covers of #1 Girl featuring each member are available only during the first pressing.  Fans apparently have been buying more than one #1 Girl each.

Mindless Behavior reigned in New York City recently, when a pair of in-store signings shut down local city streets in the area. The Mindless mania also took over Hollywood last week when Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton
performed at Universal CityWalk’s new “5 Towers” outdoor concert venue.
Celebrating the album release, Mindless Behavior will now star on the
Scream Tour: The Next Generation (screamtour.com) from September 30 to November 20.  Among the stops will be New York City, Los Angeles, Baltimore, St. Louis, Washington (DC), Chicago, Detroit, Houston, Dallas, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Oakland, Atlanta and New Orleans.

The
group has also been named rising stars by VEVO, the world’s leading
all-premium music video and entertainment platform, who have selected
Mindless Behavior for their emerging artist program, LIFT. Kicking off October 6th
and running for eight weeks across VEVO, fans will have the opportunity
to get to know Mindless Behavior through exclusive interviews,
behind-the-scenes footage, video premieres and intimate live concerts.
LIFT, accessed at vevo.com/lift, also gives fans the power to help break
new artists through social media interaction, including a new Facebook
application.  VEVO LIFT is sponsored by McDonald‘s.

Produced and largely written by Walter Millsap (Beyonce, Timbaland, Alicia Keys, Jennifer Lopez) and Candice “Goldie” Nelson (Mary J. Blige, Britney Spears, Ciara)–other writer-producers are Boi-1da and JukeBox–#1 Girl
combines infectious beats and soulful harmonies to turn the heads and
melt the hearts of young girls everywhere.  Mindless Behavior already
has notched the #1 artist page on MTV.com and is the second most
trafficked website of any Universal Music Group artist.

#1 Girl‘s
first single, “My Girl,” racked up 15 million views on YouTube and a
Viewer’s Choice BET Award nomination.  The follow-up, “Mrs. Right”
featuring Diggy Simmons, hit #1 on BET’s
“106 and Park” countdown show three weeks in a row and was the #1 most
added song at Urban Radio, with its video the #1 most viewed video on
Music Choice On Demand for five weeks straight.  The newest single is
“Girls Talkin Bout.”

Streamline Records head Vincent Herbert,
who discovered Lady Gaga, developed the original Mindless Behavior
concept with Millsap.  At a 2008 audition hosted by Conjunction
Productions–a teaming of Millsap, Nelson, Keisha Gamble and choreographer David Scott (the latter three helped create B2K)–Prodigy, Roc Royal, Ray Ray and Princeton
shined the brightest.  Over the next three years, they honed a singular
style that embraces not only vocal skills but incredible dance moves
and a unique fashion sense.

Now, Mindless Behavior brings energy, excitement and a positive message of freedom and fun to every #1 Girl
