Los Angeles, CA (PRWE September 29, 2011

Fresh off the heels of her red carpet appearances at the 2011 BMI Urban
Awards and an In Touch Weekly VMA after party, R&B/Pop Artist Zhavea
took to the stage at the iconic Conga Room in Los Angeles on Sept. 19
to promote her forthcoming album. Her attendances included the 2011
Annual Malibu Music Awards and Festival on Sept. 24.

Zhavea, a Marina Del Rey-native, has been building momentum for her
upcoming album, slated for release this year. Zhavea commandeered the
stage with her dancers and performed her single “Shut It Down”
to a capacity crowd on Sept. 19. “Shut It Down” was the first single
released by Zhavea in July 2011, due to be included in her unreleased
album she is currently recording in the studio. “Shut It Down” was
followed up by her second single “Like That” which was released last
month.

“It was a really exciting experience to perform in front of such a
large group of people. I draw on that energy because I really feel like
I’m in my element when I get to perform. I’m definitely looking forward
to doing more in the future,” Zhavea said.

Zhavea’s performance at the Conga Room
followed her recent promotional appearances, including her attendance
at the 2011 BMI Urban Awards where Rap legend Snoop Dogg received the
annual BMI Icon Award. She also made her rounds appearing at In Touch
Weekly’s 4th Annual Icons & Idols Celebration, a post-MTV VMA Party.

Though considered young, 19-year-old Zhavea is practically a veteran
performer, singing and dancing since she was a child. Zhavea began
reaching out to entertain the world in high school, during which time
she competed in talent competitions and performed in plays. During high
school, she was approached by representatives for Interscope Records,
who was assembling an all-girl group, but Zhavea didn’t enter the group
since she was taller than the other girls. However, Zhavea pressed on
with her career, looking for new opportunities as a solo artist.

Zhavea is making a name for herself as an ambitious, stand-out artist,
known as much for her singing prowess and dance experience as she is
for her unique fashion sense. At times, Zhavea can be seen sporting
fashions created by designer Maggie Barry, whose designs have been worn
by celebrities such as Pink, Paula Abdul, and Hillary Duff, Cher, Katy
Perry, and Jennifer Lopez among others.

In anticipation of her upcoming album, Zhavea will be performing at
several charity events around the Los Angeles area. Zhavea will soon be
promoting the release date of her finished album, expected March 2012.
