NEW YORK, March 26, 2012 /PRNewswire/ — Island Def Jam global superstar Justin Bieber returns to the front lines with his brand new single, “Boyfriend” set for worldwide release today at radio, and a week-long exclusive via iTunes starting today. “Boyfriend” is the first advance single from BELIEVE, Justin’s eagerly anticipated new studio album, set for release this summer. “Boyfriend” was written by Justin Bieber, Mike Posner, Mason D. Levy and Mat Musto; and produced by Mason D. Levy and Mike Posner.
With worldwide album sales in excess of 15 million units, Justin has dominated pop culture and social media for more than two years. He has over 41 million Facebook followers, and nearly 19 million Twitter followers, and over 2.7 billion YouTube views – he is far and away the most popular YouTube artist of all time.
