The debut EP “Truth” by up-and-coming pop and R&B artist Jordan Corey is being released on October 6, 2010. The EP contains seven songs including “Remember My Name,” “Lady,”

“Truth,” “Back to Life,” “Breaking All The Rules,” “Exit,” and “In
Love.” The “Truth” EP is produced by Los Angeles-based producers and
writers including the production team Stereotypes,
Brandon Howard, Steve Morales, Stacy Barthe, Corey Chorus and Grammy
award winning mix artist Jaycen Joshua who won awards for his mix work
on Mary J. Blige’s Growing Pains, Beyonce’s “Single Ladies,” Jamie
Foxx’s “Blame It,” as well as over ten number one singles and albums.

“Truth” EP addresses complex relationships and real-life hardships
such as heartbreak, triumph, and true love. The songs convey
authenticity and originality, appealing to generation X and Y females.
Some of Corey’s musical influences include Alicia Keys, Joss Stone,
Leona Lewis, and Adele. “I admire artists with a strong presence. I hope
to be recognized as an artist with a distinct identity,” says Corey. In
addition to R&B and soul, she considers the genres Motown, classic
rock, and funk as heavy influences. “We rarely work with independent
artists, but we fell in love with Jordan’s unique voice and style,” said
Leonard Brooks,
SVP Urban A&R, Capitol Records. Brooks oversees the day-to-day
management duties of Grammy nominated producers, Stereotypes. The trio
is responsible for many chart topping hits including Justin Bieber’s
latest single featuring Usher, “Somebody to Love,” Danity Kane’s
breakout single, “Damaged,” NeYo’s “Why Does She Stay,” Mary J.Blige’s
“Good Love,” and numerous other platinum selling artists.

ESM is exclusively promoting the “Truth” EP through social networking
sites such as Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. “Emerging musicians gain
credibility primarily through approval from friends on social networking
sites,” says Corey. “I plan to take full advantage of this empowered
community.” Corey’s YouTube channel includes acoustic versions of her
original songs “Truth,”“Breaking All The Rules” and “Exit” followed by
covers of Lady Gaga, Bruno Mars, Adele, Amy Winehouse, Estelle, and
Stevie Nicks. ESM and Corey have implemented the Pay With A Tweet
program utilizing Twitter and Facebook. Participants of this program can
receive a free music MP3 by Corey each time they tweet or status-update
the given link.

On May 15, 2010 Corey performed for a crowd of over 10,000 at the University of California Santa Barbara (UCS Extravaganza
music festival headlined by Drake and Chromeo. Corey performed as the
lead singer for the band SoulMinded. In 2007, she founded the theJOEband
and won Clear Channel’s KFOX-FM Last Band Standing classic rock cover
competition in San Jose, CA.

Corey regularly publishes her original content online as an active
participant in the San Francisco Bay Area music community. Her future
plans include weekly original and cover songs on YouTube and a new EP
due to be released in 2011.
