Introducing New Soul Artist JSTAVO…WATCH NEW MUSIC VIDEO | “FANCY”

Atlanta, 2013…New independent recording artist JStavo, is tickling the fancy of audiences across various cities in the southeast, as he performs his original, attention-grabbing hit, “Fancy,” at various venues and events, as well as expertly covering popular R&B artists like Tone Toni Tone, Babyface and Ginuine on stage.  In fact, his electric performances and growing popularity keeps him on the road regularly hitting the club and event circuit in Georgia, South Carolina, Florida and Alabama, at the request of his growing fan base.

A style and sound all his own, which interweaves his deep, moderate tones with perfectly pitched falsetto notes , JStavo is being referred to as  the “Mr. Prince of Pop and Soul,” as his music and lyrics cross over between the two genres.  His recently released single “Fancy” and the accompanying video, are fast becoming You Tube hits, and spotlights the innocent romance and sexy lure of young love, which is missing from much of today’s music.

JStavo is excited about the reception his music and performances are getting from audiences and says he looks at these opportunities to exhibit his artistry as honing his craft, as well as opportunities to share his love for the music he’s performing.

“I’m not trying to bring R&B back, but I’m trying to share with my audience the feeling that certain types of music–that feel good, emotional type of music gives me,” he shared.  “I love music and lyrics that resonate with me, music that shares scenarios I can relate to and that’s the kind of music most people want to hear,” he said.

 JStavo has opened for top R&B and Hip Hop recording artists such as Brian McKnight, Omarion, Amerie, Dougie Fresh and Slick Rick.  As a result of his growing popularity and his diverse repertoire, his music and performances are capturing the attention of music industry trade and other media outlets.

The official release of his new single is set for this summer and JStavo has a number of upcoming performances on tap, including at the 2nd Annual RIP the Runway Fashion Show event in Birmingham, AL. in early April, which is a local take on the popular BET Awards program, showcasing the work of rising fashion designers and models.  He’ll also be one of the recording artists performing at the Sweet Auburn Festival Spring Fest in Atlanta, which is a nationally renowned weekend event attended by more than 150,000 people.  Grammy Award-winning artists like Usher Raymond and Keri Hilson are among the top recording artists who were discovered at the Festival.

Hailing from his hometown of Woodbridge, VA., the 23 year-old singer is now based in Atlanta, the music industry’s new capital.  JStavo attended Delaware State University and graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in psychology.  He also supports and performs at a number of community events throughout the southeast that advocate for youth, women and people with disabilities.

JStavo is managed by Entertainment Management and Consulting, which is also located in Atlanta.
